Making a decision on who you want to partner with for your video production is a big decision. Oftentimes your video production is one of the biggest pieces of budget line items in your overall marketing budget. So it's really important that you partner with an agency or a vendor that you can trust, that you know is going to help you make great content.
And that's why at Casual, we try to make that process as clear as possible. You reach out to us on our website, and you'll be reached back out to by one of our managing directors or executive producers. These are the people that lead our teams here at Casual. These are folks that are tried and true video consultants, have been in the business for over a decade, and are really going to be that first port of call in order to help shape your brief.
So step one is the creative. What the heck is this video going to look like? We'll usually put forward two or three creative approaches that you can choose from and discuss with the team. We'll present these options to you. We'll usually offer a higher-end budget version and a lower-end budget version, really making sure that we're taking into account the parameters that you're working within.
The main phase that you're going to move into after the creative is pre-production. This is where all of that core foundation is going to get laid down. We're going to script your project, write out the interview questions, figure out where we want to film, and understand if we're going to use your staff or actors as part of the video. That's all established up in the creative phase as well, and really put those pieces in place in order to have a fabulous production.
Everybody thinks it's about being on set as, like, the main exciting part of the process, and it absolutely is. It is so much fun to be on set, especially a casual set.
Production really goes by quickly because all of that pre-planning has been done in the pre-production stage. After we've shot everything on set, then you're gonna find yourself in the post-production phase.
Post-production is where the edit comes together. That's where our editors are first going to spend two to three days going through all of the footage that was captured on set, really sit with our producer, who has been your liaison throughout this entire process, to make sure that they're pulling the best takes, pulling the best answers, getting that B-roll shot that everybody loved, and making sure that, you know, we're featuring your logo on your wall.
Whatever those nuances are that you're looking to feature in your video. This is where our producers really shine with our editors. That first version will always take the longest because we really put in a lot of work to make sure that we're putting the best possible V1 in front of you. And from there, it's a really collaborative process.
If there are tweaks that you want made, if you want to shuffle the edit a little bit, if you want to change something, that is all part of the process and nothing that you should ever be holding back on. Tell us up front if you don't like something. Usually that second round of review will be between the immediate client team and our team, and then rounds two and three will then go out to broader and broader groups of stakeholders until everybody is happy with the video.
Finally, once everyone has signed off and all the stakeholders comments have been addressed, it is the final finishing. This is the real cherry on top of the sundae. This is where we set your video off to get color graded and to get sound mixed. These are all really important parts of the process that really put the finesse on your video.
This is where we make all of the deliverables that we need. We usually do over a thousand projects a year for our global clients, but honestly, each of those thousand projects has hundreds of deliverables. We make various cutdowns. So our marketing clients can be able to ABC test them. We make various versions for YouTube Shorts, for TikTok, for Instagram Reels, and for all of the different social media platforms out there.
So our clients really have a variety from even just one shoot day to have a lot of content to be able to post across all of their channels and to really have a big pool of content. Because again, like we said, your video content is one of the biggest places that you're investing your marketing budget.
So we really want to make sure that that's going as far as we can possibly take it. And those are the five stages of video production. Really brief, really quick. But if you're wondering what the heck happens when you hit submit or inquire on our website, there you go.
