This Connecting Cultures series saw Casual shoot and produce five presenter-led films featuring the travel journalist, Robert Reid, for Star Alliance’s 20th anniversary, in collaboration with Wall Street Journal.
With production support anchored in the Casual UK office and locations spread across the globe, the Casual team ensured smooth schedules and efficient shoots with a minimal crew of three and a journalist in order to maximize the budget and timescales.
Each episode in the series is bold and authentic, making the most of the stunning locations and ensuring that the passion and heart of the people featured is conveyed through the narrative. This attention to detail has resulted in the series picking up multiple gold awards.
The Changemakers series was born from a Red Bull brief to create a number of short, global films which explored ‘Amaphiko’ - a programme to help Social Entrepreneurs create innovative and sustainable change in their communities. Each film features some of these inspiring entrepreneurs and their work, telling their unique story in an authentic way.
With shoots across four continents, coordinated filming between Casual offices throughout the USA and the UK, and three simultaneous shoots in three different countries, this project is a perfect example of just how far reaching our capabilities are.
