The winners of the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards have been announced, and Casual Films has a few things to celebrate!
Awards season is still in full swing, and we at Casual Films are enjoying every second of it. Following our recognition in Televisual Magazine’s annual industry review, our work has also been recognised at the 2017 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards.
We are especially proud of the broad scope of clients that were represented in our wins. With six wins in the categories of “Film and Video – Industrial Production” and “Television – Craft: Program,” our films were recognized among entries of all lengths and kind, in a field of representatives from over 50 countries. We’re thrilled that our work resonated amongst such an international audience.
How Casual Stacks Up
In the Best Animation and Best Sound Design categories — which included the work from ESPN and National Geographic — we scored a pair of Bronze Medals for the “PwC 180 Health Forum” campaign.
At Casual, we aim to create projects that will not just be artistically impactful but also meaningful to society. To that end, inclusion in the Corporate Responsibility section, alongside a bevy of international competitors from Russia to Canada (with a few fellow Brits), was a privilege in and of itself. We took home a Silver World Medal for our spot for Nestle Purina, “Purina In Society.”
A key part of our work is seeking out those with a compelling story to tell. Our Adobe spot, “Lynsey Addario — Notes From the Conflict Zone,” highlights this photojournalist’s enlightening, complex work for Adobe’s creative suite. We were thrilled to receive a Bronze Medal for bringing this story to life. Our other entry in the category, Vodafone’s “Vodafone Graduates – You Might Be Surprised,” was also recognised as a certified finalist.
Great People Yield Great Results
We’re extremely proud to be recognised like this. Thank you so much to all of our clients for giving us the opportunity to create this work. There are a lot of production companies out there, so thanks for going with us. And of course thanks so much to all our great staff who made these awards possible with their hard work and dedication. We wouldn’t be where we are today without them.
So, in light of a successful weekend, we raise a hearty “cheers” to our clients, coworkers and our fellow award winners and finalists. Here’s to another year of telling stories through this great thing we call film!
